ANALYSIS: It's been a well-documented disappointing professional career for 2016 first round draft pick Laquon Treadwell, collecting just 701 receiving yards and two touchdowns in four seasons for his original team, the Minnesota Vikings. However, in his first stint for a wide-open Jacksonville Jaguars squad, there may be hope in Treadwell as a restoration project yet.
The 6'2, 215-lb. receiver out of Ole Miss started seeing targets from Trevor Lawrence as early as week two, and began picking up yardage in weeks ten and eleven, catching two passes on four targets for 29 yards. He has consistently made progress towards engraining himself in the lineup, seeing 16 total offensive snaps in his first two games, 42 in the next two, and now 96 through weeks eleven and twelve, culminating in 63 snaps (86%) this past week against Atlanta which Treadwell parlayed into possibly the best game of his career with four catches on eight targets for 53 yards. Injuries have really forced Jacksonville to get creative when it comes to their receiving core, and while the results are bound to vary given the unique competition he faces, Laquon Treadwell's talent mixed with increasing opportunity could lead to "diamond in the rough" status in deeper formats.
