BALLER MOVE: Add In All Mixed Leagues
ANALYSIS: Is there a more undervalued starting pitcher in fantasy baseball year after year? All Lance Lynn does is strikeout a guaranteed 200 batters a year, and pile up a bundle of wins. Now in the past, he has been a tad of an ERA and WHIP liability, but not in 2014. This young man has quietly put up ace-like numbers, posting a 2.70 ERA and 1.28 WHIP (ok, maybe still a touch higher than we like to see), to go along with 14 wins and 147 strikeouts in 160.2 IP; those are not waiver wire fodder numbers folks.
And one other important point about Lovely Lance, he stays healthy and makes all of his starts on a very reliable schedule. That counts for a truckload these days in an MLB environment where guys blow out their elbows, and get pulled out of the rotation, more often than I complete the "Three S's" (#%&!, Shower and Shave). Net, net, bottom line: If for some crazy reason you play in a league so shallow that this dude is available for the plucking, we suggest you take a good hard look at who you can dispose of on your roster to make this add/drop immediately if not sooner. Get him in your lineup for his start vs. PIT today.
