ANALYSIS: The Dez Bryant injury has a strong ripple effect. While Lance Dunbar showed that he was a strong passing option for the Cowboys, it became very clear that Dallas had plans to split him out wide and use him as a true receiver. Once Bryant left, it became so apparent that he was being used in a receiver capacity to the point where Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth were commenting on it. Perhaps this was just due to their gameplan for the Giants, but Dunbar has always held some decent PPR value as the passing down guy. The Cowboys backfield situation had people forgetting about Dunbar, with so much attention going to Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden, and even Christine Michael. The truth is, they use Dunbar differently than the rest of those guys, and Bryant's absence will give Dunbar a bump in responsibility and usage. He converted eight targets into eight receptions for 70 yards in Sunday night's tilt, and while you might not always get 15 PPR points from him, he is a worth a roster spot. Not for nothing, but with a game against the Eagles on deck, Dunbar should see plenty of work as the points fly.
