BALLER MOVE: Start In 12-Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: QB1
ANALYSIS: Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has played well since returning off the injured reserve, throwing for over 200 yards in all three of his starts in 2023.
Last week against the Rams, Murray threw a season-high 45 pass attempts, completing 27 of them for 256 yards and a touchdown. He also found the end zone on a two-yard run, his only carry of the game. He had a combined 13 carries in his first two games of the season, so it was intriguing to see a bit of a change in usage in that contest with Murray throwing more and running less.
Overall, Murray's scored a rushing touchdown in all three games this year, so it wouldn't be a shock to see him with closer to six or seven carries on Sunday when the Cardinals take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The only real mark against Murray in fantasy right now is a lack of passing touchdowns. Murray has thrown just two total touchdowns in three starts and has also been picked off twice. The yardage is there and the rushing upside is there, but he remains a low-end QB1 play until we can start to see him get some more touchdown passes.
