BALLER MOVE: Add in 15+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 1% of leagues
ANALYSIS: 25-year-old Kyle Isbel got a little bit of burn last season with the Kansas City Royals to the tune of solid results, and while things have started a bit slower for the former third-round pick from UNLV in 2022, his power/speed skillset has been appropriately displayed. In 177 AB, he holds 14 XBH (seven doubles, four triples, three home runs), six steals in nine tries, and a .615 OPS. Similarly, in 414 career AB for Triple-A Omaha, Isbel posted 16 HR, 22 SB in 28 attempts, and a .268/.357/.447 slash.

He was mediocre in his first four months of MLB play this season, but has exploded in 25 AB to kick off August, knocking five XBH with a steal and a .973 OPS. His plate discipline has left a bit to be desired, but that has been a mute point this month when he's swinging for a .360 ISO and just 13.3% soft contact on 53.3% of fly balls. The Royals have all of the incentive in the world to let their younger players learn on the job, so whether it is power or base-running where he is doing his damage, Kyle Isbel is worth taking a chance on in deeper leagues despite his current navigation of the MLB learning curve.
