BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 15% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Texas Rangers starting pitching prospect Kumar Rocker is set to make his major league debut on Thursday and should be added in all standard leagues.
Rocker has had a rocky start to his professional career. He was originally drafted by the New York Mets in 2021 but was not signed by the team due to medical concerns. He was then picked up by the Rangers in the first round of the 2022 MLB Draft. Unfortunately, he underwent Tommy John surgery last season and has barely gotten a taste of professional ball.
Rocker has looked very sharp this summer in the minor leagues. Through 19 2/3 innings at Double-A, the right-hander held a stellar 0.46 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP.
Then, at Triple-A Round Rock, the Vanderbilt product posted a strong 1.80 ERA and a 0.50 WHIP across two starts.

While the sample size may be limited, Rocker has showcased elite upside and is worth taking a flier on down the stretch. the 24-year-old will likely be on a strict innings limit due to past injury concerns, but even in a small taste of the big leagues, he could provide league-winning upside, especially in H2H formats.
