BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end QB2
ANALYSIS: Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins was on pace to enjoy a career season before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 8 of the 2023 campaign. Before the injury, the veteran QB averaged an eye-catching 23.9 fantasy points per game with 2,331 passing yards and 18 scores.
He then took his talents to Atlanta during free agency and will face the stingy Pittsburgh Steelers defense in the opening week.
While the 36-year-old is coming off a serious injury, he has elite playmakers around him in running back Bijan Robinson, wide receiver Drake London, and tight end Kyle Pitts which should provide him plenty of opportunities to enjoy numerous spike weeks throughout the fall.

However, in his first back since mid-October, the Falcons may prefer to lean on Robinson and the run game on Sunday and ease Cousins back into game action, especially against elite pass rushers like T.J. Watt and Cameron Heyward.
While Cousins should be a solid option in all 12-team formats throughout the season, managers in shallow leagues (eight or ten-team leagues) should look elsewhere this weekend. Tua Tagovailoa, Jared Goff, and Matthew Stafford all have very favorable matchups and are excellent streaming options to play over Cousins.
