ANALYSIS: Now that Gerardo Parra and Carlos Gomez have been shipped to Baltimore and Houston, there is a wide open outfield in Milwaukee that will let Khris Davis continue to slug. In 223 AB this season, Davis has 11 HR, 35 RBI, and a .789 OPS. Davis has been in a borderline hypnotic state at the plate in the last week, hitting four HR with 10 RBI and a 1.481 OPS in 19 AB. Keep an eye on matchups as he hits his best against RHP (.869 OPS) and at home (.980 OPS).
Since Davis has gotten increased playing time, his production has skyrocketed and he currently has a 1.039 OPS in 32 August AB. There are always concerns about Davis's high strikeout percentage (27%) and the low batting average he sports as a result, but if he continues to mash, you can live with a .240 mark.
