Dallas came away victorious, defeating Washington 34-26 on the backs of several wild plays. It's been a while since we saw America's Team play exciting football, so it was a breath of fresh air for the team's fans, and likely depressing for all the team's haters.
Let's break down the biggest moments from the ridiculously entertaining final period of last Sunday's game.

Commanders Tight End John Bates Fumbles The Ball
With Dallas up 13-9, the Commanders started their drive by passing the ball to tight end John Bates. Since they drafted Ben Sinnott in the 2024 NFL Draft and have Zach Ertz on the team, that was an interesting move. Bates rewarded the team for an opportunity he probably shouldn't have had by fumbling the ball away.

They should let him stick to blocking from now on. This play led to a touchdown drive by the Cowboys, but it was just the beginning of the end.
KaVontae Turpin Takes A Kick Return 99 Yards To The House
The most explosive player on the Cowboys then got a chance for another huge play. He started it by muffing the ball, but immediately atoned for his sins by embarrassing a Commanders player's attempt at a tackle with a filthy spin move. He was mostly in the clear after that and took it back.

The fastest man in the NFL this season's legendary effort put Washington back into a two-score hole.
Jayden Daniels Hits Terry McLaurin For A Miracle Last-Minute Score
Sometimes, the best play of the game is made by the losing team. On 1st-and-10 from his team's 9-yard line, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels dropped back and delivered a beauty of a throw to his top wide receiver, Terry McLaurin, who evaded all defenders in his way and outraced them for an 86-yard touchdown.
Joe Davis is one of the more underrated sports announcers listen to him call Terry McLaurin’s 86-yard touchdown.

This should have tied the game. But someone else on the team ensured that wouldn't happen.
Austin Seibert Blows It ... Again
Washington Commanders kicker Austin Seibert had a perfect opportunity to tie the game and likely send it to overtime. He had other ideas, though. Perhaps the team shouldn't have trusted him after he missed a field goal earlier in the contest.

As commentator Joe Davis said, it was the worst special teams performance in history by the Commanders, and it was capped off beautifully by a missed extra point of all things. Seibert lost the game for Washington.
