ANALYSIS: If he could ever manage to stay healthy, Kevin Kiermaier probably wouldn't ever appear in the hallowed pages of our waiver wire blog. Alas, his career has been marred by a variety of injuries that have kept him from logging 500 plate appearances in all but one of his five MLB seasons.
When he is on the field, though, the defensive wizard provides enough offensive value to be worth rostering in many formats. He's averaged 15 HR and 20 SB per 600 plate appearances in the majors, and is currently hitting .282/.341/.564 with two homers, two steals, and 16 R+BI in 12 games. Though the odds of him finally avoiding the injured list may be long, Kiermaier can be a solid back-end outfielder with potential for more for as long as he manages to remain in one piece.
At the moment, you can add him in three-quarters of Yahoo leagues for the price of only a roster spot.
