ANALYSIS: Baltimore has been waiting on acclaimed pitching prospects Kevin Gausman and Dylan Bundy to match the production of their star hitters. It appears Gausman is ready to deliver on that promise. Although he has yet to win a game, Gausman has delivered three quality starts in five appearances. He was hit fairly hard against Detroit this week, but his ratios are still a comfortable 3.00 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. His 3.43 K/BB would place him 15th in the AL if he were to pitch enough innings to qualify. Gausman is not a huge strikeout pitcher, but his 7.2 K/9 won't leave owners wanting either. At 25 years of age, we likely haven't seen the best of Gausman yet. He's had few bumps in the road throughout his major league development, but a full season in the rotation may see him develop into a reliable #2 starter, which equates to a must-start in fantasy terms.
