Kenyan Drake Signing With The Browns Breakdown
Let's get this out of the way first: signing with a team's practice squad is no guarantee that we see that player in regular season action with a team. While the NFL's rule changes around the practice squad in recent years have made it easier for practice squad players to see game action, that doesn't mean they will.
The Browns have three running backs who saw at least nine carries this past week, led by Kareem Hunt with 14. Pierre Strong had 10 carries and Jerome Ford, who was limited in practice during the week with an ankle injury, had nine carries.
The abundance of running backs that the Browns have makes it hard to see much of a path to snaps for Kenyan Drake barring an injury.
Kenyan Drake Fantasy Football Outlook
At this point, it looks like Drake is really just a depth addition for the Cleveland Browns. The team has three running backs on the active roster who have been performing well.
Drake had just one carry this season with the Ravens, finishing with zero rushing yards. Last season, he played 12 games for Baltimore, with 109 carries for 482 yards and four touchdowns. He also caught 17 passes for 89 yards and a score.
Fantasy managers can safely ignore Kenyan Drake's addition to the Browns practice squad at this point. He might not even be elevated to the active roster and if he is, he's unlikely to get many touches.
