ANALYSIS: With 30 seconds remaining in this past week's game against the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne reeled in a 49-yard touchdown heave from C.J. Beathard to propel him to his top fantasy performance of the season. Bourne finished this week's game with four catches on four targets for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Of course, the majority of Bourne's production this past week came on that last-minute score. He had just three catches for 37 yards before the play.
Bourne is the team's No. 2 receiver right now behind Brandon Aiyuk. Richie James is in the picture too, but Bourne has been targeted much more consistently both over the course of the year and lately. Bourne's production all year has been underwhelming, but he's remained a fixture amongst the team's passing attack. He'd earned at least five targets in each of his previous five games before this week.
Add Bourne in leagues of 14 or more teams if you need a fill-in WR4 or flex option in Week 16. The 49ers will face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16 and we should see Nick Mullens forced to air the ball out a lot once again.
