Keke Coutee (WR, HOU) - Week 15 Waiver Wire Pickups

Texans wide receiver (WR) Keke Coutee is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 15 of the 2020 NFL season.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

ROSTERED: 45% of Leagues

ANALYSIS: Realistically, Keke Coutee has only played four games this season (he logged a game played in W2 but he was on the field for just five snaps). In those four games, all happening in the last four weeks, Coutee has been forced to step up his game out of necessity. The Texans waived players, lost others to suspension, and even more to injury, so it was all pointing toward Coutee for him to get the benefit of such a series of events.

Coutee, in those four games, has three performances below 10 FP and one of 22.1 PPR points coming two weeks ago. That showed his ceiling, but Coutee can't be expected to put on 20+ points weekly; he's more of a 10 PPR points-on-average player, which is far from bad at this point into the season for needy GMs out there.

While not heavily target, Coutee keeps producing with great efficiency: he's caught 17 of 21 targets through the season and he scored touchdowns in two of his four last games. In fact, he comes off a TD-performance this past weekend when he went 3-of-3 at catching the ball for 24 yards and a score.

The Texans face have a slightly tough matchup with the Colts next week, but after that, they'll go against Cincinnati (16th-best defense against fantasy WRs) in the W16 championship Sunday. That bodes well for a Coutee that should retain his role as a WR2 in his offense at least, with a relatively high floor and upside for a booming performance. Not a must-add in shallow formats, but definitely a WR3/FLEX play in deeper leagues.
