BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR42
ANALYSIS: Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen has been a massive fantasy football bust this season. Many thought the Bears upgraded at the wide receiver spot by switching out Darnell Mooney for Allen. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case.
Darnell Mooney escapes the Bears and transforms from a 5.3 point-per-game player into 14.4.
Keenan Allen joins the Bears and transforms from a 21.5 point-per-game player into 8.8.
Two players where environment (QB, target competition, scheme) has led to massive swings.

The veteran wide receiver is the WR76 for the years, averaging seven half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Allen had a massive performance in Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, totaling 18.6 fantasy points and two touchdowns. However, he has averaged only 5.1 fantasy points per game in his other six contests, totaling 6.9 or fewer in every matchup.
Only fantasy players in deeper leagues should consider starting Allen as a desperation flex or WR3. The veteran faces a Green Bay Packers defense that has shut down wide receivers lately, surrendering only 89.5 receiving yards and 16.5 fantasy points per game over the past month.

The wide receiver position has an advantage over the running back position in PPR scoring formats, typically. Not every WR is like this, though, […]
