The NASCAR Cup Series ran the AdventHealth 400 this past Sunday at Kansas Speedway after a brief rain delay, but it was well worth the wait, as fans were treated to the closest finish in NASCAR history, as Kyle Larson edged Chris Buescher by 0.001 seconds for his second win of the season.
Larson had the Best Average Running Position for the race (2.76) and was followed in that statistic by Kyle Busch (5.29), who, ironically, was the reason that Larson was able to get the win, as Busch spun out to cause the final caution and subsequent restart that allowed Larson to get back to the lead.
Of the top five finishers in this weekend's race, Chase Elliott once again had the worst Average Running Position (11.54), ranking just 10th-best in that statistic but finishing third. He was another driver that benefitted from the late caution and restart.
