ANALYSIS: Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn had a big game against the Lions in Week 16 as he was targeted seven times, catching five of those for 95 yards and a score. Part of that was because Jordan Addison left the game with an ankle injury. This was the first time since Week 8 that Osborn had more than 34 receiving yards.
Whether or not Osborn has fantasy value against the Green Bay Packers in Week 17 will depend a lot on whether or not Addison is back from his ankle injury. If Addison plays, the Vikings with Nick Mullens under center likely can't sustain a third fantasy-relevant wide receiver behind Addison and Justin Jefferson.
However, Osborn's worth adding off the wire because he'd have deep-league flex appeal if Addison misses this upcoming game. Go ahead and grab him in 12-team PPR leagues this week because he can be a fantasy starter if the situation is right. Monitor the injury situation in Minnesota heading into this game, especially since Osborn showed in Week 8 that he can exploit this Packers defense. In that contest, Osborn was targeted 10 times, catching eight passes for 99 yards in a 24-10 Vikings victory.
