ANALYSIS: Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justin Watson has never been a fantasy-relevant player for more than a week or two at a time. He is the WR93 for the year, averaging 2.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, scoring 3.7 or fewer in every contest.
However, the veteran could be a solid short-term flex option in deeper leagues. Unfortunately, Rashee Rice is likely out for the season after suffering a significant knee injury in Week 4. Watson ran the second-most routes among wide receivers after Rice left Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Reportedly, the Chiefs will explore trade options over the next few weeks. Amari Cooper and Davante Adams are two popular options for Kansas City. Therefore, Watson’s expanded role on offense won’t last for long.
Fantasy players in deeper leagues can use the veteran wide receiver as a bye-week replacement for the next few weeks. However, Watson has limited season-long fantasy value.
