ANALYSIS: It hasn't been a pretty season overall for the rookie quarterback class, but comparatively speaking, Justin Fields has been well-situated of late for the non-playoff-bound Chicago Bears. Up until the middle of the year, the former star Buckeye saw little success in the passing game (plagued by a poor TD/INT ratio common among rookie QBs) and was surprisingly stagnant as a runner.
However, Fields began finding a rhythm on his feet during the week six game against Green Bay, and from that point he has taken off for 361 yards and a touchdown, and in his last three full starts (excluding his limited week eleven outing vs. the Ravens), he has gotten the TD/INT problem under control with four and three respectively in addition to a season-best total of 800 yards passing (267 per game). The Bears will now play the also non-playoff-bound Minnesota Vikings to cap off the regular season, and in a low-stakes setting where chances might be taken just for the sake of evaluation or experimentation, the rounding-out game of Justin Fields is worth rolling the dice on for those in deeper formats.
