BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 9% of leagues
ANALYSIS: In 2017, Justin Bour had a .902 OPS, 25 home runs, and 83 RBI in just 108 games with Miami in 2017 before injuries cut his season short. One of the secrets to his success that season was improved performance against left-handed pitchers. That abandoned him last year, and a second-half swoon that neatly coincided with a trade to Philadelphia (where he was a bench bat, rather than an everyday player) further depressed his ultimate output. As a result, he's become a fantasy afterthought.
There is some potential here, however - definitely in deeper and AL-only formats, but arguably in standard 12-team mixers as well. Bour will hit in the middle of the Angels lineup, flanked by Mike Trout and (when he's healed up) Justin Upton, which should lead to plenty of opportunities for run production. For all his struggles with southpaws, Bour still holds a career .260/.344/.465 line and has averaged 28 homers per 600 plate appearances as a big leaguer. He's free to add in nine out of every 10 leagues right now.
