BALLER MOVE: Stash in All Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: August
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Rays third base prospect Junior Caminero was promoted to the major leagues earlier this week and is a top waiver wire target this weekend.
Through his first two games back in the big leagues, the top prospect has gone 1-for-7 with a 1:3 BB:K ratio and one swiped bag. Last summer, in a limited major league stint, he posted a .235 AVG across seven games with one home run and seven RBI.
At Triple-A Durham this season, Caminero showcased his upside power by holding a .276/.331/.498 line with 13 long balls, 34 RBI, and a 16:50 BB:K ratio across 53 games.
Junior Caminero has a 57% hard hit rate in AAA this year which ranks 2nd best in the league (min. 200 PA) behind only James Wood.
He’s also doing this with a slightly better than average whiff rate (25%). Here’s a 117.2 mph rocket from him:

Even though the top prospect missed time this summer due to a quadriceps injury and was promoted much later than expected, he should be added in all leagues, given the elite power potential he possesses. He could be a league-winner down the stretch.
