While it wasn’t the most inspiring start last week, Julius Thomas did return for the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, catching both of his targets for 20 yards. The 6’5” tight end should be much more effective this week at home against the Houston Texans.
Thomas played on 32-of-61 snaps in the loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Jags were most likely easing him back into the lineup, as he is still recovering from a hand injury that’s kept him from playing all but one game.
Brought in this offseason to be a big red-zone threat, Blake Bortles will look his way more often than not in an attempt to spread the ball around. Fantasy owners should treat Thomas as a low-end starting tight end until he shows us he can function efficiently in his new offense.
