ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer had a solid 2023 in relief of departed WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, but he hasn't carried that momentum into 2024. To make matters worse, Palmer has taken a back seat to second-year receiver Quentin Johnston and rookie Ladd McConkey.
Additionally, the Chargers are running a ridiculously run-heavy offense, and despite QB Justin Herbert's sky-high talent, he's not thrown for over 200 yards since his debut. He's averaged a putrid 137 passing yards per game, leaving almost no room for any WRs to be fantasy-relevant.
Palmer has just six targets over the last two games, catching four passes for 34 yards. He's not fantasy-relevant. In addition, he's now on the injury report and has missed two straight practices with an elbow and calf injury.

There is no planet where it would be a good idea to start Palmer even if he plays, and there's a good chance he won't since he missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday. There were high hopes for Palmer stepping into the No. 1 receiver role after Allen and Williams left, but that hope has been dashed.
