BALLER MOVE: Sit in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5/6
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer has been activated from Injured Reserve after missing six games due to a knee injury. However, star quarterback Justin Herbert (finger) switched places with him on the IR list. With Herbert out for the season, the fantasy outlooks of all Chargers' skill position players take a big hit.
The Las Vegas Raiders have allowed the 13th-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, so Palmer is far from a must-start option on Thursday Night Football. With Stick under center, it's tough to know how effective the Chargers' offense will be, and Palmer could be rusty in his first game action in over a month.
In all likelihood, the Raiders-Chargers Thursday night matchup will be an ugly one that results in few fantasy points for all players involved. With the first round of the fantasy football playoffs set to begin, trusting Palmer in this spot is a risk to avoid.
Ultimately, the Chargers will likely lean on Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler with key injuries plaguing its season once again.
UPDATE: Keenan Allen (heel) has been ruled out for Thursday's night games. Palmer is now a viable flex option, though he is far from a sure thing.
