ANALYSIS: Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs has been a fantasy start in 2023. Unfortunately, a quad injury has cost the running back the past two games. Despite some hope that he could return for Sunday’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, Jacobs will likely miss his third consecutive contest.
With Jacobs out of the lineup again, Zamir White will be the starting running back for the third consecutive week. The second-year running back has barely played in his NFL career until Jacobs suffered the quad injury.
White has been the RB9 over the past two weeks, averaging 15.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He faces a Colts defense that has struggled to stop the run this year. They have surrendered 119 rushing yards and 25.7 fantasy points per game to running backs over their past six matchups.
Fantasy players who need a last-minute replacement for Jacobs should check their waiver wire for White. The second-year running back has top-10 upside in Week 17.
