BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 6% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Miami Marlins starting pitcher Jose Urena has shut out his opponent in two of the last three starts and has struck out at least five batters in three of the past four outings. He is also a two start pitcher this week, facing the Brewers and Phillies at home.
The good news is that Urena was already successful against the Phillies, allowing one earned run in seven innings while striking out six batters. On the down side, Milwaukee tagged him for four earned runs in five innings on April 21 (three strikeouts). He is 0-7 at home this season, but has a 3.88 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 58 innings at Marlins Park. Not too shabby for a pitcher who is owned in six percent of fantasy baseball leagues.
Also good is that the Phillies and Brewers strike out a lot, as the Brewers are seventh in team strikeouts this season (787). It may not be safe to pick up and start Urena is more shallow leagues, but he is worth an add in deeper formats.
