BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 7% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Detroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias is starting to garner a bit of love from fantasy owners, as he has a hit in four of the last five games. However, an ownership rate in the single digits has him bringing up the rear in terms of fantasy ownership.
The Tigers’ shortstop has swiped three bases since last week, bringing his total to seven in nine attempts. He also logged three multi-hit games during the week and is hitting .287 over the past 30 days.
A .278 BABIP shows poor luck for Iglesias, as his 22.6% hard hit ball rate, 20.4% soft hit ball rate, and 21.1% line drive rates are all better than his career average. He also has a career-best 1.33 GB:FB rate, hitting just 45.1% ground balls this season. While he is not a great option as a starting SS in shallow leagues, you can do a lot worse as a MI.
