BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 34% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: A quick look at Jorge Soler's big league career and it's easy to see why there has been so little buy-in to him on fantasy teams in 2018. Still, he did get off to a hot start in 2018 before a broken toe derailed him. And, even though it feels like he has been around forever, he is still just 27 years old.
Soler is slashing .286/.333/.536 with one home run and a 33% strikeout rate as of this writing, but the raw power is still so tantalizing, and a barren Kansas City outfield should afford him everyday at-bats for the entire season, provided he is healthy.
His career high is only 12 (in 227 at-bats), but a full healthy season should net Soler 20 home runs and he could approach 25 or even 30 if he can find a consistent stroke.
There's no doubt Soler carries more risk than some of the outfielders on the waiver wire, but his power potential and easy path to everyday at-bats make him a bat worth carrying on your bench in 12+ team leagues if you can afford to wait and see if he strings together a streak.
