BALLER MOVE: Stream for All Away Starts
OWNED IN: 4% of Fleaflicker leagues.
ANALYSIS: It is an accurate speculation that the other de la Rosa (Rubby) will be the more popular pickup this week, however, the savvy Fantasy Baseball Manager will not sleep on Jorge de la Rosa in the coming weeks. At first glance, de la Rosa would scare off anyone with his 6.51 ERA.
What is most important about de la Rosa is that he pitches in Coors Field and that he has been the victim of bad luck. De la Rosa currently has an opponent's BABIP of .346, which is unluckily contributing to his high WHIP of 1.60. At home, de la Rosa has an ERA of 9.98 and away he has an ERA of 2.19. De la Rosa currently has a GB/FB ratio of 1.74, and this is especially important to consider when you realize that he has a HR/FB rate of 5.6%. While 5.6% is a fantastic HR/FB rate, it is even more impressive when considered that de la Rosa has a home HR/FB rate of 7.3% in 15 and 1/3 IP, but has yet to allow a HR in 12 and 1/3 IP away.
De la Rosa currently has an away WHIP of 0.81, an overall FIP of 3.46, and a K/9 of 10.1. In summary, de la Rosa is pitching well and his numbers are inaccurately inflated due to the ridiculous properties of Coors Field. If Jorge de la Rosa is pitching away from Colorado, stream him and expect a solid start.
