ANALYSIS: The Rams are dealing with a plethora of major injuries on offense. Included in that group are wide receivers Puka Nacua (knee) and Cooper Kupp (ankle). Nacua has already been placed on injured reserve and Kupp could soon join him.
These injuries have left many fantasy managers scrambling to find replacements at wide receiver. It's possible the best replacement for Kupp or Nacua is already on the Rams' roster.
Wide receiver Jordan Whittington generated plenty of buzz during training camp and the preseason as a potential breakout rookie sensation in 2024. He's headed for increased volume with Kupp and Nacua sidelined, which also means he's an appealing fantasy football option.
Jordan Whittington is the micro-edge Sean McVay needs.
As much as Demarcus Robinson and Tyler Johnson are solid veterans, they have no upside.
Playing Whittington, who can run the ball (TD called back Week 1), is the Puka clone needed by the Rams.

Whittington, who has already drawn comparisons to Nacua for his playing style and first-year breakout potential, caught two passes while playing 50 percent of the offensive snaps last week. He, Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, and Tutu Atwell will all see a significant uptick in volume over the next few weeks.
Managers would be wise to add any one of those names, but Whittington presumably has the highest upside. The sixth-round rookie is capable of breaking off big plays and should be added in most leagues with 14-plus teams, even if he's just a speculative stash for this week.
