Washington Redskins tight end has been great for his owners thus far this season, but that may be coming to an end. On Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles he suffered another concussion, a sprained ankle and a knee injury.
Reed has a history of concussions; it's believed he has suffered at least five concussions since his time in college with the Florida Gators. That alone will likely keep him out of action for at least one week. Add his history of concussions with the fact that he also suffered a sprained ankle and a sprained MCL against the Eagles and it's no wonder why he can be considered doubtful to suit up for the Redskins' week 5 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
Derek Carrier will fill in for Reed if he does in-fact miss week 5. However, Carrier has no fantasy value unless Reed's injuries keep him out of action for several weeks. None of Reed's injuries should keep him off the field for longer than a week or two.
