Two words: Revis Island. Not only does the Eagles offense look terrible so far this season, they’ll be headed to Metlife Stadium to face one of the league’s better looking defenses.
Jordan Matthews has had a solid start to the season, so chances are good that you won’t bench him. And I understand that, especially given the price you paid on draft day and the results that he's produced for you so far. But consider this my warning - Matthews may disappoint in Week 3.
Given that he lines up in the slot, Matthews may not actually get shadowed by Revis. But the Jets clearly know he's the most dangerous weapon on the Eagles, and may make use of their top cornerback against him. We all know how that usually turns out. Just remember that No. 1 receivers facing Darrelle Revis don’t often fare very well. Proceed with caution in Week 3, especially if you are in a shallow league and have some nice options sitting on your bench for situations like this.
