ANALYSIS: For starters, we don't even know if Carolina Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks (knee) will play in Week 10 against the New York Giants. He was elevated to the active roster, but he could be held out of the game to give him additional time to recover. The team has RB Chuba Hubbard, after all.

The team also just broke into their vaults to give Hubbard a big contract extension, solidifying their belief in him as a good RB. At best, we'll see a committee between he and Brooks, with the vet taking the lion's share of touches as the rookie eases in to his first NFL action.
The potential workhorse role for the freshman back has all but evaporated. At best, we're hoping for a David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs situation now, where both players are productive in fantasy moving forward. But that won't happen right away, and Brooks shouldn't be in starting lineups yet.
