BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 38 percent of Fleaflicker leagues
ANALYSIS: Before the season began, some dashing fellow predicted that Jonathan Schoop would be among the best fantasy options at the keystone. While he hasn't been quite good enough to crack the top eight second basemen, Schoop is having a fine season for the Orioles nonetheless. He got off to a fast start before slumping through the back half of April, but has been red-hot this month. He's produced a .914 OPS, four homers, and 24 R+RBI in 19 May contests.
Schoop has cut down on the strikeouts, helping him to maintain a decent .270 batting average. More importantly, he's on close to a 30 homer, 100 RBI pace through the season's first quarter. Those in OBP leagues will have a harder time rostering Schoop thanks to his utter lack of patience at the dish (3.2 BB%) but in standard formats, he's an excellent middle infield option.
