ANALYSIS: Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Jonathan Mingo has been a portrait of inconsistency as a rookie. While he's had at least six targets in five consecutive games, he just hasn't managed to consistently produce. His yardage totals in those five contests look like this: 20, 6, 60, 69, 22.
The rookie has made some good plays this year, but his game-by-game production has been nearly impossible to predict. That makes it tough to really know what to do with him in fantasy leagues.
Considering it's currently playoff time in the vast majority of fantasy leagues, the answer for what to do with Mingo in most formats seems pretty simple this week: sit him unless you're desperate at wide receiver in a 14-team league.
The Panthers face the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. This will be the second meeting of these two sides this year. Back in Week 1, Mingo was targeted five times, catching a pair of passes for 17 yards.
