ANALYSIS: Among all the young Rockies' pitchers who have had encouraging starts, only to fall apart the next couple of times around, Jon Gray is the one constant. It has been over a month since Gray allowed more than two ER in a game. His 4.55 ERA remains inflated from one horrible start against the Cardinals in mid-May in which he allowed nine runs. He has posted double-digit strikeouts in three of his 11 starts and is a threat to put up big K numbers each time out.Despite being a rookie, Gray has shown great composure and performed well even in tough match-ups against the
Despite being a rookie, Gray has shown great composure and performed well even in tough match-ups against the Mets and Red Sox. Gray seems to be an exception to the Colorado pitching rule, as he is worthy of starting each week, regardless of opponent or home/road status.
