BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 9% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: Journeyman utility infielder Jon Berti has settled into a home in Miami, where he is serving as the team's leadoff hitter. Berti is slashing a tidy .267/.349/.435 with four home runs, five stolen bases, and 28 runs scored in 42 games played.
Berti has shown good plate discipline and solid contact numbers, and while his power is middling he does boast a nice 46.5% hard hit rate and an 88.3 mile per hour exit velocity, both above the league average.
His sprint speed is also sky-high, which could point to continued success on the base paths.
Berti is 29 and is not a long term piece for Miami, but as long as he is hitting leadoff and continuing to play well, he's worth a look in 14+ team leagues. He could creep onto the 12-team radar as well, in part because his positional flexibility makes him a very nice bench bat in time for the fantasy playoffs.
