Baller Move: Add In All Leagues
Owned In: 48% of Fleaflicker Leagues
Analysis: Now a three-year veteran, Joe Panik’s game remains primarily headlined by his defense, but his efforts on offense have been solid as well. Slashing .265/.327/.451, he appears to be headed towards a career year. Playing in less than one-third of his total games played last year, he’s already recorded nearly half the number of home runs he hit in 2015. His runs and RBI are nearly on par, and his BB% is as well. One thing to monitor is his K%, which is off to a career-high start. His BABIP is also down significantly, while his ISO has gone up. The biggest question for Panik will be his ability to remain healthy. Having only managed to play 100 games last season, he’s already had injury issues again this year, missing a number of games with a strained groin. If he remains healthy, his numbers will surely all be career highs. At this point, his ideal fit would be as a bench player. Recently hitting successively in 13 of 15 games, he’s shown the ability to lock in for an extended period of time. His ownership is near 50% in Fleaflicker leagues, so you might want to jump at him now before it’s too late.
