BALLER MOVE: Start in all leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB1
ANALYSIS: Joe Mixon is working his way through yet another inefficient season on the ground. The veteran is averaging under four yards per carry for his second straight campaign and has a rushing success rate of 48.3 percent.
Inefficiency can be overcome with a healthy workload. In his last two games with backup quarterback Jake Browning under center, Mixon is averaging 24.5 touches. His snap counts have mostly remained consistent, even with rookie Chase Brown carving out a role. The Bengals are just relying more on the running and screen games without Joe Burrow and it's working. Riding a two-game winning streak and reentering the playoff picture, there's no reason to believe that Zac Taylor abandons that strategy.
The Week 15 matchup against Minnesota is less than ideal. The Vikings have only allowed running backs to tally 909 rushing yards and five total touchdowns through 13 games. Overall, they're the fifth-best defense against the position this season.
Regardless, it's impossible to pass up a running back receiving 20+ touches every week. With a strong presence in the passing game and three touchdowns in the last two weeks, Mixon is riding momentum into the fantasy playoffs. Start him with confidence.
