BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 32% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Tigers are terrible, but bad teams still get save opportunities (unless they're the Orioles, perhaps). Joe Jimenez has assumed the closer role after Detroit shipped Shane Greene to Atlanta at the trade deadline, and done well thus far. The hard-throwing righty has converted four of five save chances since taking over the ninth inning and allowed just four runs in his 15 appearances while striking out 17 batters.
Whether it's the quality of the team around him or his ugly season-long ratios (4.81 ERA, 1.32 WHIP), fantasy owners have been slow to embrace Jimenez, who remains available in nearly 70 percent of Yahoo leagues. If you need saves, though, you won't find a better option on the waiver wire at this point.
