BALLER MOVE: Start (If Anthony Richardson Is Ruled Out)
POSITIONAL VALUE: QB2 (If Anthony Richardson Is Ruled Out)
ANALYSIS: If Indianapolis Colts lead quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) isn't able to play in the Colts' Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, backup Joe Flacco is a great quarterback to start. Richardson owners hopefully have him stashed on their benches and ready to deploy.
Despite being nearly 40 years old, Flacco still has it. He led his team to a win against the previously undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4 after Richardson exited due to injury. Flacco threw 26 passes, completing 16 for 168 yards and two touchdowns. He was also seen taking the majority of first-team reps at practice Friday.
Colts QB Anthony Richardson is officially questionable for Sunday, and here’s where things get interesting: Joe Flacco was seen taking most of the first-team reps at Friday's practice. Naturally, this has people speculating that Flacco could be starting this week. Remember,… pic.twitter.com/2PS8bWecCk

Those reps are a sign that he's likely to start. If he does, he'll have a chance to dice up the NFL's second-worst pass defense. The Jags have been awful against opposing quarterbacks.
With elite offensive mind Shane Steichen calling the plays for the Colts and a variety of weapons including WRs Josh Downs, Michael Pittman, and Adonai Mitchell, Flacco should have a good day. Start him if Richardson is out.
