In fantasy football, running quarterbacks such as Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts take the cake at the quarterback position. However, there are many quality options lower down the draft board.
Many fantasy players like to wait to draft a quarterback because it is such a deep position and running backs and wide receivers fill more starting positions. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love are each being drafted outside of the top-five quarterbacks selected in fantasy football drafts, but each could serve as high-end starters for your team.
Which quarterback should fantasy players draft in 2024? Let’s check it out.

Joe Burrow's 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
Joe Burrow had a tough 2023 season. He entered the season with a strained right calf, which greatly impacted his play through the first four weeks. Once his calf healed, he looked like vintage Joe Burrow until he tore the Scapholunate ligament in his right wrist in Week 11. Given his short run of success in 2023, Burrow did not exactly help fantasy players last year.
However, Burrow was spectacular in the two seasons prior to 2023 when he was the QB4 in 2022 and the QB7 in 2021. There is no question that Burrow is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. With Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins returning in 2024, Burrow should see success once again.
The question with Burrow will be health. If he is on the field for 17 games and unhampered by injuries, he could be a top-five fantasy quarterback.

Completion percentage over expected: +7.1% (1st)
EPA per dropback: +0.180 (7th)
PFF Pass grade: 83.3 (6th)

Jordan Love’s 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook
After taking over for Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love was completely unknown coming into 2023. After experiencing growing pains during the first half of the season, Love went on to finish as the QB5 in fantasy with 4,159 passing yards and 32 passing touchdowns.
Love has an embarrassment of riches surrounding him with wide receivers Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs and tight ends Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave all in the fold. The Packers are so rich with quality pass-catchers that Love was able to succeed in 2023 in spite of a constant string of injuries to the pass-catchers.
Love could level up once again in 2024 with the pass-catchers in place, an upgraded backfield including Josh Jacobs and MarShawn Lloyd, and a year of starting experience under his belt. Love's 247 rushing yards and four touchdowns in 2023 also add a solid baseline to his fantasy value.
Aaron Rodgers in his 2nd year as Packers starting QB put up
• 4434 passing yards
• 30 TDs / 7 INTs
• 103.2 QB Rating
• 11 Wins in 16 gamesDo you expect Jordan Love to exceed these numbers in 2024?! pic.twitter.com/gUuyLKml8a

Who Should I Draft in Fantasy Football?
Both of these guys will be good fantasy assets in 2024 and it may come down to opportunity cost. Burrow is currently being drafted as the QB6 at 52.79 overall while Love is being drafted as the QB8 at 56.62 overall. Neither is separated by significant ADP.
Love should have a higher rushing baseline than Burrow and has not shown some of the injury propensity that Burrow has early in his career (Burrow also tore his ACL and MCL in 2020). As such, Love might be my pick when draft season rolls around but this could come down to a coin flip.
