Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been one of the stars of the NFL since he broke out in 2021, but he's had plenty of injury issues in his short career. The 2019 Heisman Trophy winner suffered a major injury that cost him seven games in 2024.

Joe Burrow Injury Update For Fantasy Football
Burrow (wrist) thinks he can be ready to throw by the time organized team activities start this offseason, but he's not completely sure of his timeline as he recovers from season-ending surgery on his right wrist. The 27-year-old signal-caller had a lost season in 2023, first suffering a calf injury in training camp that kept him out of the preseason and was responsible for both him and the Bengals offense getting off to a slow start in the regular season.
Burrow's wrist injury caused him to miss the final seven games, and he finished with a career-low 2,309 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 10 games. Even if Burrow isn't quite ready to throw by OTAs this spring, he should be fully recovered when training camp starts at the end of July.

Joe Burrow 2024 Fantasy Outlook
The Bengals will give Burrow plenty of time to recover from his wrist injury, and there should be no concerns about his Week 1 availability. Whether or not Tee Higgins is back with the Bengals, Burrow should remain a QB1 in fantasy football. He might not get back to top-five fantasy quarterback territory, but the team should remain a high-volume passing offense and still has all-world wideout Ja'Marr Chase.
Although offensive coordinator Brian Callahan left to become the Tennessee Titans head coach, Zac Taylor has been the play-caller for all of Burrow's career. In early FFPC best ball drafts, Burrow is going off the board as the QB8.
