BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 31% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Joc Pederson began the season with considerable uncertainty around his playing time due to a typically crowded Dodgers roster and his own 2017 struggles. He's done what he can to force that situation into clarity, hitting .272/.350/.543 with nine home runs in just 197 plate appearances. Crucially, the underlying numbers support his surge and provide compelling evidence that Yung Joc has made some tangible improvements. Pederson has trimmed his strikeout rate by seven percentage points while also posting career-best marks in fly ball and hard-hit rates.
Oddly, Pederson's ownership rate has dropped by nearly 10% in the past 24 hours. Perhaps it's related o him being benched multiple times in the last week due to the vagaries of scheduling. It's true that Pederson won't play much against southpaws - and when he does, you'll probably wish he hadn't - but the 26-year-old is hitting well enough against RHP to justify a roster spot in all formats right now.
