BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 44% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin is a tough pitcher to evaluated. Sure, he will pitch a dud every once in awhile, but Chacin can be a reliable streamer, too. Whatever issues that he may have, this is still a pitcher with a 9-3 record and 3.58 ERA.
Chacin is coming off of a strong start, striking out nine batters in 5 2/3 innings in a win against the Nationals, and has not lost since June 24. The downside for those looking at Chacin is that he has not pitched six innings in any of the last three starts and only has one quality start in his last six starts. That being said, Chacin has allowed two earned runs or fewer in four of the last five starts and has struck out five batters or more in three of those starts.
Chacin will pitch on Saturday in San Francisco against the Giants and then next Friday against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. It is a good thing that Chacin avoids Miller Park and the matchup in the offensively depressing AT&T Park on Saturday is particularly nice as well. The Brewers will also help in the way of wins and Chacin is a good streamer in deep leagues.
