Hello, RotoBallers, and welcome to Week 7 of the NFL season! Let's take a look at some fantasy football outlooks for tonight. We have an interesting primetime matchup for Sunday Night Football between the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It's been a rocky start to the year in New York that's included the firing of head coach Robert Saleh, and most recently, a trade for superstar wide receiver Davante Adams. While the Jets are hoping Adams will energize their offense in Week 7, the Steelers will reportedly turn to Russell Wilson at quarterback in the hopes of finding a scoring spark.
We'll be bringing you Sunday Night Football analysis all year long, focusing on who to definitely start, who is on the fence, and who should find the bench. Let's dive into this awesome Sunday Night matchup. You can also read all Week 7 Matchups for the entire slate. Good luck, RotoBallers!

New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers - 8:20 pm ET
Spread: Jets -1.5
Implied Total: Jets (20) vs. Steelers (21.5)
Matchup Outlooks
Russell Wilson will replace Justin Fields at quarterback in Week 7, but the veteran is a risky QB2 option against the Jets. New York has given up the third-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season, and only one quarterback (Allen) has finished as a top-20 fantasy option against that secondary this year.
Update: The Steelers haven't officially named Wilson as the starter, but signs point to him getting the start.

Aaron Rodgers has been a solid QB2 option for fantasy managers this year, finishing as a top-15 option in three of the past five weeks. With Davante Adams now in New York, Rodgers should continue to be a solid quarterback in Superflex formats. However, the 40-year-old veteran should not be started in most cases this weekend. The Steelers have allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season.
George Pickens has been a disappointing fantasy option in recent weeks. He has finished outside the top 40 at the wide receiver position in four of the past five weeks. While having Wilson as his quarterback does raise his fantasy value a little bit, the matchup against Sauce Gardner in this game is not great news for him. Given that Gardner has allowed only 10 catches all year, Pickens is a risky option on Sunday night.
RB Najee Harris
On paper, this might seem like a tough matchup for Najee Harris in Week 7. The Jets are allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this season, and only Jordan Mason has finished as a top-12 fantasy running back against this defense through six weeks. However, after seeing New York give up 97 rush yards to Ray Davis last week, Harris will have RB2 potential this weekend.
RB Breece Hall
With Todd Downing calling the plays last week, Hall played a season-high 87% of the offensive snaps while totaling 23 touches. So things appear to be trending up for the Jets running back heading into Week 7. Despite the tough matchup against Pittsburgh, he is still a strong RB1 option this weekend. Pittsburgh has allowed six different running backs to catch at least three passes against it this season.
WR Davante Adams
Adams will make his Jets debut after being traded from the Raiders earlier this week. It'll be interesting to see how he fits in on this New York offense, but chances are he'll be a strong fantasy WR2 the rest of the season. In Week 7, he will likely be shadowed by Joey Porter Jr., which does hurt his fantasy potential a bit this weekend. Still, expect him to see enough opportunities to be a solid WR2 option.

The biggest question about Garrett Wilson heading into Week 7 is what his target share looks like with Adams now in New York. Wilson ranks fifth in target share (30.7%) through six weeks, and the young wideout has seen 33 targets over the past two games. You're still likely starting him in Week 7, especially since he could see more opportunities in the slot moving forward.
Pat Freiermuth's fantasy value could rise with Wilson now taking over quarterback duties in Pittsburgh. He has played at least 75% of the offensive snaps in four straight games and has seen at least four targets in four of six games this season. However, he'll be a riskier TE1 option against a Jets secondary that has allowed only one tight-end touchdown in 2024.
Conklin would have been a low-end TE1 option against the Steelers this week if Adams was still with the Raiders. Pittsburgh has allowed 21 catches to tight ends over the past two weeks, and Conklin has caught at least four passes in three of the past four games. However, with another weapon in this New York offense, the 29-year-old tight end is a risky option in all formats this weekend.
Update: Conklin is questionable for Sunday night with a hip issue, the same one he played through last week.
