ANALYSIS: It's difficult to understand why fantasy owners seem so reluctant to embrace Jeimer Candelario. The Tigers' third baseman just hit his tenth home run of the year on Saturday night, pushing his overall line to .263/.352/.512. He's occupied a spot in the top half of a better than expected Detroit lineup all season, allowing him to total 62 R+RBI in his 53 games. Candelario has outproduced several more widely-owned or well-known players at his position, including Evan Longoria, Kyle Seager, and Rafael Devers.
Whatever the reason, you can (and should!) still add the 24-year-old for free in nearly two-thirds of leagues at the moment.
