UPDATE: De'Von Achane is officially active for Thursday Night Football.
ANALYSIS: Miami Dolphins running back Jaylen Wright was a healthy scratch in Week 1, and given the team's crowded backfield, questions have emerged about his fantasy football viability during his rookie campaign.
Although Wright was inactive, the Dolphins' game on Sunday showed that they are more interested in riding the hot hand at running back than solidifying a clear pecking order. De'Von Achane was incredibly efficient through the air and ended up seeing seven targets. Raheem Mostert lacked efficiency on the ground, so he lost meaningful touches to Jeff Wilson Jr.
These factors mean that Wright simply need an opportunity. Given his speed, which is perfect for Miami's offense, he should be able to contribute this year. And now that opportunity seems to be presenting itself.
Raheem Mostert has officially been ruled out for Thursday Night Football, and De'Vone Achane was a game-time decision but will be active. Wright should now get a chance to showcase his talent.
Wright now becomes a must-add fantasy football waiver wire pickup for Week 2 in all leagues. Even if it's just a stash and wait-and-see approach, he shouldn't be left on the waiver wire.
Raheem Mostert won't play Thursday. "DeVon we will see how it plays out," McDaniel said.
