BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3
ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren was a popular sophomore-year breakout candidate during the preseason. The Steelers’ offense looked outstanding during the preseason, and many had high hopes for the team in 2023. Unfortunately, Pittsburgh has failed to live up to those expectations. Yet, Warren has been solid for fantasy players.
The second-year player is the RB26 for the season, averaging 10 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Warren has 102 rushing attempts for 601 yards and three touchdowns. He also has 38 receptions for 243 receiving yards this year.
Unfortunately, the former Oklahoma State star has been in a slump lately. Over the past two weeks, he has averaged 11 rushing attempts for 54 yards and 5.9 fantasy points per game, scoring six or fewer in both contests. However, the second-year running back might be a must-start player in Week 14.
Najee Harris has missed the past two days of practice with a knee injury. If the former Alabama star can’t play, Warren would have a featured role on Thursday night. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots have surrendered 17.4 fantasy points per game to running backs this season, slightly below the league average. However, they have given up a rushing touchdown to running backs in nearly 60% of their games.
