BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3
ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren was a popular sophomore-year breakout candidate during the offseason. Last year, he flashed potential as an undrafted free agent. The young running back was a part-time player behind Najee Harris. Yet, fantasy players had high hopes for him in 2023.
Warren has lived up to the hype. He is the RB23 for the year, averaging 10.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. By comparison, Harris is the RB29, averaging 8.9 fantasy points per contest. Warren has been the better player, totaling 80 rushing attempts for 493 yards and three touchdowns. He also had 34 receptions for 234 receiving yards this season.
More importantly, the young running back has averaged 6.2 yards per rushing attempt, one of the highest averages in the league. Last week, Warren had 129 rushing yards and a touchdown on only nine attempts against an elite Cleveland Browns run defense, totaling 22 fantasy points in the loss.
Thankfully, Warren’s matchup is fantasy-friendly in Week 12. The Cincinnati Bengals have struggled to slow down opposing running backs lately. Over the past two weeks, they have given up 123 rushing yards, 1.5 touchdowns, and 25 fantasy points per game to the position.
